Advanced Training in Mediation Ethics: Unconscious and Implicit Bias

Description

This training has 3 objectives:

  • To define and explore the concept of bias;
  • To understand the impact of selected bias types on mediation practice; and,
  • To develop “take-away” insights for application in mediation practice.

This 2 hour experiential training will comply with the continuing education requirements for Maryland circuit court mediators, and the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence (MPME). Together, trainers Ellen Kandell and Barbara Williams have over 45 years of legal experience as practicing attorneys, mediators, trainers and professors. 

**Two hours of MCLE including ethics credit will be offered from the surrounding MCLE states of Pennsylvania and Delaware ONLY. **This program is NOT approved for CLE/ethics credit in Virginia.
