On August 25, 2020, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security published new regulations concerning asylum applicants’ eligibility for employment authorization. Recent litigation, specifically Casa de Maryland Inc. et. al. v. Chad Wolf et. al., has sought to overturn these new regulations and has resulted in a preliminary injunction for class members. Join the MSBA Immigration Section on Friday, January 8, 2021 @ 12 PM to learn about the new rule, methods to become a class member and how to avoid the harsher aspects of the new regulation.
