The MSBA monitors hundreds of bills each session and advocates on behalf of the profession. The ability to make a difference in Annapolis is just one of the many reasons we need all attorneys to belong to the MSBA to ensure we remain a strong and vibrant association.

Former State Sen. Doug Peters (D – Prince George’s County), a popular and influential member of the Maryland Senate, will join the MSBA to discuss his personal and professional background and road to Annapolis, and how to stay involved and connect with legislators. First elected in 2006, Peters rose to become Senate majority leader from 2016 to 2019.  He served as Chairman of the Capital Budget Subcommittee and recently stepped down in 2021 to join the University of Maryland Board of Regents.

We welcome all legal professionals to join, particularly those in Prince George’s County.
