Sal Sinatra
President and General Manager for Maryland Jockey Club (MJC). Sal came to Maryland to manage MJC in 2015, prior to that he had served 15 years managing Parx Racing in Pennsylvania. He has overseen the multi-million dollar renovations at Laurel Park and will share the plans MJC has to continue improving the facilities and promoting the industry at the tracks and OTBs operated by MJC.
Karin DiFrancis, Esq.
Sports Entertainment Consultant to MJC and Organized Shows & Events Representative of the Maryland Horse Industry Board Daughter of Frank DiFrancis, Esq. who has been credited with turning the racing industry around–having invested money into improving the tracks in Maryland in the 1980s. Owned and operated both Laurel Park and Pimilico Race Course until his death in 1989. Karin and her brother, Joe, were major stakeholders in MJC until 2002 when the Magna Group became major stockholders. Karin is highly respected in the horse industry for her intimate knowledge of the industry and her passion for the horse.
George Adams
Owner, Housatonic Bloodstock, LLC. George is a highly respected leader in the breeding sector of the Thoroughbred racing industry. He has worked for the renowned farms of Claiborne Farm (KY) and Country Life Farm (Maryland) and for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey. His knowledge in breeding, buying, and selling of race horses has earned him accolades in the racing industry. He struck out on his own in 2014 with Housatonic Bloodstock, LLC.
