She serves as Chair of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association. Her firm has successfully adopted a hybrid model using both a shared office space and work from home environment.

Shannon Hammond, Esq., is the founding member of Hammond Law in Sykesville, Maryland. Prior to starting her solo/small firm practice, Shannon was an elder law associate at Frank, Frank & Scherr (2009-2013) and an estate planning associate at Joseph, Greenwald & Laake (2006-2009). Shannon also currently serves as the Board President of YES!, Inc., which is a new, local non-profit organization, dedicated to providing much-needed education and support to caregivers for those with young-onset dementia.
