The MSBA Energy and Environmental Law Section will host a Webinar providing a Maryland Legislative Session Preview on Friday January 12, briefly covering the legislative process of the Maryland General Assembly and the major energy and environmental bills expected to be taken up during the 2024 session. The 446th Session of the Maryland General Assembly begins Wednesday January 10th and ends on Monday, April 8th. The speakers will cover an overview of what to expect during the 2024 Session, including the timeframes for legislative actions, important committee procedures, the new committee structure implemented for 2024 and the Legislative topics and specific bills that will be considered by the 446th Session, including a handicapping of what’s likely to get serious consideration and what’s not, as Governor Moore and the current leadership Team of the General Assembly begin their second Session together leading Maryland’s progress on crucial Energy and Environmental issues.
