Estate Planning Evening Series 2021

The MSBA Estate and Trust Law Section is excited to offer the latest livestream presentation of their Estate Planning Evening Series beginning on Thursday August 26, 2021 at 6 p.m. – 8 p.m, and continuing on subsequent Thursday evenings until September 30th, 2021.

The Estate Planning Evening Series is a six-week comprehensive course presenting the fundamental and practical concepts of estate planning. The basic-to-intermediate level evening course is designed for attorneys who concentrate in the area of Estate and Trust law, accountants, financial planners, and paralegals who assist in the area of Estate and Trust law.

Topics to be covered:

Week 1 (8/26): Overview of the Planning Process

Week 2 (9/2): Tax Considerations for Estate Plans

Week 3 (9/9): Tax Planning for Retirement Benefits

Week 4 (9/16): The Use of Trusts in Estate Planning and Related Considerations

Week 5 (9/23): Planning Approaches to Will and Trust Drafting

Week 6 (9/30): Gift Planning and Business Valuation

 

12.0 hours of credit will be offered for the surrounding MCLE states.
