This program will present new family law and other pertinent cases, rules, and legislative updates from the past 12 months. The speakers will discuss the most recent appellate cases regarding family law practice area, including such topics as: indefinite alimony, disparate income and unconscionably disparate standards of living; child support – discretion in above-guidelines cases, and appropriateness of an award to a non-custodial parent; whether de facto parenthood can be created by consent of one parent; admissibility of expert testimony, Rule 5-702, and the Daubert standard; validity of an unlicensed marriage; and many other cases. This CLE is always highly informative, well-attended, and the materials alone are essential to any family law practitioner.
