Join the MSBA Business Law Section and the Consumer Bankruptcy Law Section for a livestream program that will focus on the various ways elderly individuals in Maryland are exploited by both those that are closest to them and by the public at large in connection with their economic well-being. Issues that may be discussed are financial scams, reverse mortgages, nursing home abuse and others. The program will also explore how bankruptcy can be an option to help the elderly deal with the consequences of these unforeseen and unfortunate events.
