The MSBA is taking a new approach to its annual Professional Excursion to provide flexibility and affordability. This year’s excursion will be to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and will be focused on providing unique learning, networking, and service opportunities for attendees. The host resort is the fabulous Caribe Hilton. This home to the original piña colada is an expansive resort that offers the perfect combination of relaxing beaches, exhilarating activities, convenient amenities, and access to the culture of downtown San Juan!

The Professional Excursion event includes daily learning, networking receptions with attorneys and judges from the Bar Association of Puerto Rico, a farewell dinner and a service project. Here’s a sample of the type of programming and events to expect:
During the week there will be opportunities (additional costs may apply) for nearby golf, historic site tours in Old San Juan, the rainforest, water tours and sports, and a planned group excursion to the Bacardi Distillery where you will have the opportunity to tour and taste the island’s iconic rum. CLE and most events will be held at the Caribe Hilton but under the new format, attendees may also elect to stay at the property of their choice.
Travel Insurance

MSBA follows the most recent CDC Guidelines, Maryland State Regulations, and venue specific regulations for all in-person events.
If you feel unwell, are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, or are Covid-positive, please stay home.

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees for the Puerto Rico excursion are fully refundable if cancelled at least 30 days prior to the first day of the event. Cancellation must be requested in writing and submitted to Anna Sholl (anna@msba.org). See additional information regarding hotel cancellation below.
* Air and Accommodations are not included. Highly preferred rates with the Caribe Hilton have been negotiated.
** Rooms start at $319 per night (based on double occupancy in standard Beach Wing rooms.) A deposit of one night’s stay will be taken at the time of booking. The deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to the start of the conference, and attendees must contact the hotel directly to execute cancellation and reimbursement of deposits. Please contact the hotel for additional information on room selection, rates, and cancellation – 1-800-445-8667. Please mention that you are traveling with the MSBA group.
