Susan Zuhowski, Esq. is currently Maryland/DC Underwriting Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company in Columbia, Maryland. Prior to joining Old Republic, Susan received her Bachelor’s Degrees in economics and philosophy from Boston College, and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore. She was in private practice for twenty-one years, concentrating in areas of real property, litigation (including title defense), and government relations. Throughout her career, Susan has used her strong analytic skills to achieve results for her clients. She drafted the amicus briefs for the Maryland Land Title Association (MLTA) in the cases of Julian v. Buonassissi, 414 Md. 641 (2010) and Guttman v. Wells Fargo Bank, 421 Md. 227 (2011). Susan is an experienced public speaker and has given presentations to the MLTA on the provisions of the Maryland Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act, as well as testified on behalf of MLTA on bills being considered by the Maryland legislature. She currently serves as co-chair of MLTA’s Legislative Committee. She has also served as adjunct faculty with the Legal Studies Institute at Anne Arundel Community College and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association Real Property Section and the Commercial Real Estate Attorneys Discussion Group.
