About this event

Conflict Resolution Lessons from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. . .

Space battles, Jawa yard sales, trade disputes, Jedi mind tricks, intergalactic diplomacy, personal squabbles, and negotiations with a light saber … when it comes to negotiation and conflict, the Star Wars movies have it all. This panel of experts in negotiation and conflict resolution analyze the complex personalities and conflict dynamics driving the saga, with lessons we can apply in our galaxy in our work as lawyers and mediators, and in our everyday lives. The panelists are authors of a new book, Star Wars & Conflict Resolution. If you long for insights about the “Jedi mind tricks” of mediators and negotiators, or if you are Star Wars fan, join us!

This event is part of the 20th anniversary of the Center for Dispute Resolution. The event is cosponsored by the Maryland State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.
