Strategies for Witness Examination: Yours and Theirs

Description

Join the MSBA for an all new, virtual presentation of Strategies for Witness Examination: Your and Theirs on Tuesday, October 17th at 11 a.m.

This entertaining trial skills course serves a wide spectrum of lawyers, from the inexperienced to veteran litigators.  Working from the basics: “Why do you need this witness?” to the elements of proof, credibility, witness advisories, special skills in handling experts, to communication (and cross-examination) techniques, we will work our way to reminding lawyers of their ethical duties of candor, and how to handle dangerous situations when false evidence is presented.

PRESENTER:

Claude E. Ducloux has been licensed in Texas since 1977, and has also been licensed in California and Colorado. In 2011, he won the highest statewide award from the State Bar of Texas for lifetime contribution to CLE (the “Gene Cavin Award”), and has spoken in more than 600 programs in all 50 states since Jan 1, 2010, where attendees regularly rate his presentations very highly. Mr. Ducloux has a long legacy of bar service, including being President of the Austin Bar Association, and serving as Chair of almost every major Bar-related entity, as well as the Texas Bar Foundation.

This presentation is FREE for MSBA Members as part of the Virtual Learning Pass membership benefit!

One hour (including .5 of ethics) CLE credit will be offered for the surrounding MCLE states.  If you miss the livestream, it will be available on the MSBA CLE catalog
