Join the MSBA on Day 1 of the MSBA Legal Excellence Week for a reprisal of its very popular, Succession Planning Workshop on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. Attorneys will learn to plan for closing, selling, or merging their practices, and how to plan for the unexpected death or incapacitation of an attorney in their practice. 

Get the latest on the following topics:

  • Why Succession Planning is Necessary & How Bar Counsel’s Office Might Intersect with the Process
  • Risk Management Opportunities & Potential Landmines
  • Succession Planning Considerations for the Sale of a Solo or Small Firm Law Practice
  • Strategies for Leveraging Insurance within the Succession Plan

And! Faculty will also guide you through a hypothetical case study that will demonstrate an approach for developing your own succession plan. Join us for a full day of learning and practical application tips, the opportunity to meet legal services and technology vendors, raffles of MSBA CLE programs and publications, all capped off with a networking reception.

Five hours of ethics credits will be offered for the surrounding MCLE states. If you’re unable to attend the live in-person event in November, the entire event will be recorded and available to you to view later. You can pre-purchase the OnDemand HERE.
