The Cassandra Effect: Prophetic Legal Arguments That Failed

Description

Every trial lawyer has walked away from a courtroom defeat thinking, “I was right, the judge was wrong.” Sour grapes? Not always. In this program, Dred Scott and Plessy v Ferguson will be revisited with a focus on the losing arguments, the lawyers who made them, and why they failed. The result will hopefully boost the morale of today’s lawyers who argue against the odds on behalf of underdogs.

Presented by Robin Cockey, Esq. of Cockey, Brennan and Maloney
