The Intersection of Family and Criminal Law: Protective Orders and Other Related Issues

Description

The MSBA Criminal Law Section invites you to a live webinar: The Intersection of Family and Criminal Law – Protection Orders and Other Related Issues on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m.

Co-sponsored with the Maryland Association of Justice, and the Bar Association of Baltimore City, this comprehensive program will focus on what lawyers need to know when preparing to bring or defend a family law client’s related criminal and/or Protective Order case. This includes when your client is the Defendant and/or the victim as well as Petitioner and/or Respondent. Learn from experienced faculty, criminal defense attorney Erik Atas and family law attorney Jana Ponczak on how they work as a team to represent their firm’s family law clients with criminal law issues. This program is designed for both the new lawyer and the most experienced attorney.

This program is co-sponsored by the Bar Association of Baltimore City and Maryland Association for Justice.

1.5 hours of CLE credit will be offered to the surrounding MCLE states.

Viewers will have the chance to submit questions during the livestream as well as ahead of the presentation to Criselle Anderson at criselle@msba.org.
