Most lawyers are stuck in the traditional this-is-what-it-means-to-be-a-lawyer mindset, and though that’s worked up to a point, in a COVID-19 world that approach doesn’t work like it used to. Now a lot of lawyers are struggling to keep their practice afloat. That’s why a pivot is necessary.
Through my work at Beyond the Bar Institute, a personal branding and online marketing consultancy for attorneys who are ready to leverage the internet and grow their practice, I’ve realized that most lawyers don’t understand what it means to build a personal brand and why that’s key to growing their practice right now.

Instead, I use an out-of-the-box approach that involves multiple income streams and passive income – both of which I’ve built through my personal brand and nontraditional law practice.
