Getting a Seat at the Table: Civic Engagement for Young Lawyers


Join the Young Lawyers Section as they help launch the inaugural MSBA Legal Excellence Week. This panel is targeted towards young lawyers searching for advice and guidance on ways to translate their ideas, visions, and interests into action through civic engagement.

The program will include a 45-60 minute panel discussion including the following topics, followed by open Q&A for approximately 30 minutes:

  • The panelists backgrounds and paths to leadership
  • The importance of civic engagement by members of the legal profession
  • Civic engagement 101
  • Ways in which young lawyers can advance the interests of their communities and their clients through civic engagement.
