In her role as Charles County Circuit Court Family Magistrate, Monise Brown is “grateful for a supportive work environment where I feel my opinion matters. When I bring new ideas to the table, they are welcomed, which continues to give me purpose and energy to provide the best service to our citizens.” In May, The Daily Record named Monise one of its 2018 Leadership in Law Award recipients.

But it is motherhood that she considers her “most important and fulfilling job.”

“I am most thankful for my children,” says Monise. “Their personal and emotional growth make my heart soar. They are funny and bright and give me reason to work hard every day of my life. When I see their faces, I see the future.”

In the meantime, Monise wishes for continued health and happiness in the new year. “I also want to read more books in my spare time, and travel,” she says, adding “any time at the beach sounds perfect to me!”
