To join the bone marrow registry, you must be between 18 and 55 years old, in general good health, live permanently in the US, not already registered on the bone marrow registry, and willing to donate to any patient in need.

There Goes My Hero was founded by Erik Sauer with the help of Michele Bresnick Walsh, both leukemia survivors and bone marrow transplant recipients who met while in treatment at Johns Hopkins. Inspired by their experiences, they created There Goes My Hero to help others fighting blood cancer.
