For the past 60 years, the Maryland Bar Foundation (MBF) has proudly supported local nonprofits, investing tens of thousands of dollars annually to uplift Maryland’s most vulnerable communities. Through strategic grantmaking, MBF facilitates vital work that profoundly impacts and changes lives, ensuring legal support reaches those who need it most.
MBF’s Board of Directors recently met at The Vineyards at Dodon for their annual retreat. During the retreat, MBF President, Regine Francois Williams led discussions on strategic planning, board development and engagement. The Board also discussed MBF’s goals for the upcoming year, including fundraising, increasing MBF’s impact, and finalized details for its 60th Anniversary Gala, which will be held on October 23, 2025 at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD.
MBF invites all Maryland legal professionals and supporters to join them for this event, celebrating MBF’s 60 years of giving and laying the groundwork for the next six decades of vital contributions to the legal field.
During the Gala, MBF will acknowledge leaders within the Maryland legal community who are actively advancing the profession and continuing our vital mission, and announce the awardees of the Legal Excellence Awards and the J. Joseph Curran Public Service Award. Attendees can also connect with MBF’s distinguished Fellows, a network of dedicated legal professionals deeply committed to accessible justice and upholding the highest standards of the law.
Erek L. Barron will be featured as the keynote speaker.
