Technology has dramatically increased the amount of consumer data collected and used by real estate development. Several recent high profile data breaches, coupled with a high rate of identity theft crime has made data security and consumer privacy a hot issue for real estate practitioners.

Real estate issues that were created during the infancy of cellular communication via the construction of cell towers and antenna installation are now being re-visited (and expanded) as the 5G network is installed across the country. The discussion will focus on the ramifications of this technology in Maryland with an emphasis on its impact on real estate development and related issues.
