This program will give lawyers expert insight on how trauma impacts memory, demeanor and narrative clarity. Attendees will get guidance on interviewing survivors, preparing clients for testimony, get a clear breakdown on the different evidentiary standards for emergency relief and final orders, and learn to navigate the complete procedural lifecycle of a peace or protective order in Maryland. Custody, support, and post trial strategy will also be discussed.
