YLS Spring Open Meeting: Exploring Long-Term Careers for Women in Law

The American Bar Association's 2018 initiative titled “Achieving Long-Term Careers for Women in Law” explored the unique issues and career dynamics facing women lawyers in practice for over 20 years and the reasons for their disproportionately high rate of attrition.

This panel will revisit the topic with successful women lawyers who have been in practice for over 20 years, who can discuss the challenges, stereotypes, and burdens they have faced along the way, offer advice for young attorneys, and provide thoughts on steps the profession needs to take to reverse the trend of attrition.
